The Administrative Assistant program is a combination of the Secretarial Studies program and the Accounting program.
Equivalencies can be granted between the programs allowing you to complete two diplomas in less time.
You may do either secretarial studies first or the accounting program. We recommend you start with the one you have the most interest in.
You learn at your own pace (individualized learning) so you can join the workforce faster or take as much time as you need to become proficient.
This program offers monthly starting dates when places are available!
Training includes:
- Organization and flexibility
- Bilingual communication
- Accounting software use
- Basic and advanced word processing
- Calculating and preparing accounting documents
- Producing payroll
- Completing and verifying work accurately
- Completing daily and year-end financial tasks

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Administrative Assistant program, you must complete either the Accounting or Secretarial studies program.
Because of the recognition of equivalencies, the administrative assistant track will take you around 20 months to complete.
You will receive two diplomas from the MELS and CBM will emit a Certificate stating you have completed both programs.
