LOANS AND BURSARIES PROGRAM
DIPLOMA VOCATIONAL STUDIES
Students registered in a full-time vocational education course are now eligible to apply for the Ministry of Education, Leisure & Sport’s Loans and Bursaries program. To be eligible for this program, a student must:
- be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident within the meaning of the Immigration Act and be a resident of Quebec,
- not have sufficient financial resources,
- be admitted to an educational institution designated by the Ministry and pursuing a recognized full‑time study program (D.V.S.)
For those students who are eligible, the financial aid will be evaluated based on income and contributions of the student and his or her parents or spouse, whichever is the case. The financial aid awarded will be in the form of a loan first and then, if the student’s financial situation warrants it, a bursary.

Prêts et bourses
PROGRAMME DE PRÊTS ET BOURSES
DIPLÔME D’ÉTUDES PROFESSIONNELLES
Les élèves inscrits à temps plein à un cours de formation professionnelle pourront faire une demande afin de participer au programme de prêts et bourses du ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec (MELS). Pour être admissible, un élève doit satisfaire aux exigences suivantes :
- être citoyen canadien ou résident permanent selon la définition de la Loi de l’immigration et être résident du Québec;
- avoir un revenu insuffisant;
- être admis dans une institution scolaire désignée par le Ministère et suivre à temps plein un programme de formation reconnu (D.E.P.)
Pour l’élève admissible, le montant de l’aide financière sera accordé d’après le revenu et les contributions de celui‑ci, de ses parents ou de son conjoint selon le cas. Cette aide prendra initialement la forme d’un prêt et ensuite, d’une bourse si la situation de l’élève le justifie.
